WELCOME About kaia foods. kaia foods was founded with the belief that our health is best supported by eating whole foods as close to their natural state as possible. Our mission is to create innovative, minimally-processed alternatives to conventional food products. Our creations use ingredients barely changed from their raw form so as to preserve their complete nutritional value and intrinsic healing properties. We soak, mix, occasionally grind, and then dehydrate our food (below 115° F so the enzymes don’t break down) - that’s it! No baking, frying, bleaching, or other industrial processes that might compromise our ingredients’ ability to nourish. The Process Matters. So much packaged food today has been baked, chemically treated, and inundated with unpronounceable substances never found in nature. As a result, many products have been so transformed by overprocessing that they have lost much of their nutritive value by the time they reach our mouths even if they started with wholesome ingredients. Consider for a moment many granolas and breakfast cereals - by the time the original grain has been milled, baked, and loaded with refined sugars, much of its nutritional value has been lost and replaced with ingredients that cause your blood sugar to spike. Chronically high blood sugar has been linked to weight gain, diabetes, heart disease, and countless other ailments. All of this supports our belief that when it comes to food, the process matters!
